‘Town Drops Game To Melville
28 04 2007Melville took down ‘Town by a score of 7-2.
‘Town went down 13 seconds into the game when Melville scooped up the opening face-off and took it to the cage for an easy score. The Patriots then added another goal to make it 2-0 after one quarter of play.
Melville continued to press the Huskers in the second quarter, pushing their lead to 4-0 on a fast break goal. Freshman Kevin Interlecchio finally put the Huskers on the board, scoring at the 7:14 mark off a splendid move from behind the cage. However, the ‘Town momentum was short lived, as Melville answered right back, making it 5-1 Patriots at the half.
The second half was quite ugly, as the Patriots outscored the Huskers 2-1. Brendan Kurpis scored the lone second half goal for the Huskers.
‘Town has now lost four out of their last five games …
