The Murphy Cup is only 5 days away …

This year — at least on paper — L/P appears to be the favorite.

So, can they win their first Murphy Cup since ‘94?

No.

Prediction: ‘Town 9, L/P 7

Gotta give myself a pat on the back for the Jay over Manhasset prediction. But at the same time, I came up SMALL on Hen Hud vs. ‘Town. But who actually got that pick right? Mel Kiper didn’t even have a shot at predicting that one.

Melville took down ‘Town by a score of 7-2.

‘Town went down 13 seconds into the game when Melville scooped up the opening face-off and took it to the cage for an easy score. The Patriots then added another goal to make it 2-0 after one quarter of play.

Melville continued to press the Huskers in the second quarter, pushing their lead to 4-0 on a fast break goal. Freshman Kevin Interlecchio finally put the Huskers on the board, scoring at the 7:14 mark off a splendid move from behind the cage. However, the ‘Town momentum was short lived, as Melville answered right back, making it 5-1 Patriots at the half.

The second half was quite ugly, as the Patriots outscored the Huskers 2-1. Brendan Kurpis scored the lone second half goal for the Huskers.
‘Town has now lost four out of their last five games …

Crazy.

Chase Bernard and Jake Green had two goals apiece in the win.

Looks like Patrick Werner was in the goal for ‘Town.

Did Bonitabitus get benched? I know he was pulled during the St. A’s game …
