Desirable Weekend Games: Men’s Lacrosse
28 03 2007Here are some great match-ups that are taking place this weekend.
3/30 — Friday
Hen Hud @ Putnam Valley at Putnam Valley High @ 4:30 p.m.
- Good measuring stick game for both teams. However, look for the Sailors and Bosco to eventually take over.
3/31— Saturday
Yorktown vs. Shenendehowa at SUNY ALBANY @ 3 p.m.
- ‘Town, coming off a down year, will look to set things straight early by taking down a tough team in Shen’. With Section II and the Albany region rapidly improving in the sport of lacrosse, this cannot be seen as a tune up game for the Huskers. They will also be forced to travel 2 1/2 hours upstate, so it’s not unfeasible for Shen’ to pull off the upset. However, look for ‘Town to wear down Shen’ in the later stages of the game and pull out the victory.
Mahopac vs. Fordham Prep at Mahopac High @ 3 p.m.
- Indians should take care of business in this match-up.
John Jay @ Huntington at Huntington High @ 3 p.m.
- This will be the ultimate early season test for the Indians, as Huntington is the two time defending champ and widely regarded as the number one team in all the land. If John Jay wants that state title, they need to prove they can hang with the elite. Jay isn’t ready for this game. Let the team mesh and let’s revisit it in June.
